Sarah Danaher
BSc MSc RD
Sarah Danaher is an experienced UK-registered dietitian with over 24 years of clinical and academic experience across major NHS hospitals, private practice, and specialist roles. She brings a wealth of expertise in medical weight management, women’s health, gastrointestinal conditions, and the gut microbiome, alongside a strong interest in the psychological and behavioural aspects of eating.
Sarah has worked in leading teaching hospitals including Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and has held roles in community health services, elite sports nutrition, and higher education. She now runs her own private practice and also leads national projects on probiotics and prebiotics, helping to translate cutting-edge research into practical, evidence-based care.
At the clinic, Sarah supports patients using weight loss medications with tailored nutrition plans that are realistic, sustainable, and focused on protecting long-term health. Her approach is compassionate and collaborative, helping people navigate appetite changes, side effects and weight maintenance while building a positive relationship with food.

Type of Appointments
Tier 1 – Foundation Dietetic Consultation (45 minutes)
This focused one-to-one session is ideal if you’d like practical, personalised advice to optimise your nutrition while using GLP-1 medication. During your appointment we will:
- discuss any questions you have about your nutrition and diet
- review your current eating habits
- discuss any side effects or challenges
- identify simple, realistic changes to improve your overall nutrition for long term weight loss success.
You’ll leave with clear, evidence-based guidance and tailored recommendations, helping you feel confident about your next steps.
(This option does not include a detailed dietary analysis or written report.)
Tier 2 – Advanced Dietetic Consultation (1 hour)
This in-depth consultation provides a fully tailored approach to your nutrition and diet. As well as all that is included in Tier 1, it also includes a detailed dietary analysis of your 2 day food diary and written report with the assessment and recommendations.
Tier 2 is recommended if you have more complex needs or medical issues such as:
• Optimising your nutrition for exercise/gym work
• Hormonal health e.g. PCOS, menopause, PMS/PMDD
• Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, or insulin resistance
• Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, high cholesterol or cardiovascular risk
• Emotional or binge eating patterns
• Neurodiversity-related eating challenges e.g. ADHD, autism
• Digestive health and gut disorders e.g. IBS, reflux, inflammatory bowel disease
• Food allergies and intolerances
Follow Up Appointment (30 minutes)
A follow-up appointment with our specialised dietitian to review your progress, adjust your personalised nutrition plan, and provide ongoing guidance to help you reach your health goals.
